BarStar operates photo booths in bars and venues. This page is the terms and conditions for the only text message programme we run, and shows exactly how you opt in.
BarStar is the trade name of OutcomeForge, a sole proprietorship, which is the registered sender of these messages.
The programme
BarStar photo delivery. One transactional text message per photo session, containing a private link to the photos you just took. Nothing else is ever sent on this programme: no marketing, no reminders, no recurring messages.
How you opt in
At the end of a photo session, the booth's screen offers three ways to take your photos with you: scan a QR code, get an email, or get a text. If you choose the text, you:
- type your own mobile number on the booth's on-screen keypad;
- tick a consent box that is unticked by default and reads: "I agree to receive one text message from BarStar with a link to my photos. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help." The TEXT IT TO ME button stays inactive until this box is ticked;
- tap TEXT IT TO ME.
Consent is not a condition of using the booth or of any purchase: the QR code and email options deliver the same photos without a text. This is what the opt-in screen looks like:
Ticking that box and tapping that button is the entire opt-in, and the booth records the number, the time and the consent in its session log. There are no opt-in keywords and no text-to-join: we never obtain numbers any other way, so there are no purchased lists, no uploaded contacts, and no way for anyone but you to enter your number into the booth.
What we send
Exactly one message per photo session, to that number only:

It contains a private link to the photos you just took. It is not marketing, it is not recurring, and we do not send anything else. If you take photos again on another night and ask for a text again, you get one more message for that session.
Message frequency
One message per photo session. There is no recurring or scheduled messaging: if you never ask for another text, you never receive another message.

Message and data rates may apply, and may vary by carrier and plan.
How to stop
You can cancel at any time. Reply STOP to any message from us and
you will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and nothing
further. Because we only ever send one message per session, there is nothing
to cancel unless you ask for a text again.

Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
